Government announces summer reopening plans

The Government has confirmed the reopening schedule for the summer months.

Below are the key reopening dates for business owners to be mindful of:

• Wednesday, June 2^nd: B&Bs, guesthouses, and hotels to reopen.
• Monday, June 7^th: Outdoor hospitality (including pubs) can reopen. Cinemas, gyms, leisure centres, and swimming pools can also reopen. Outdoor sports matches can go ahead with pilot events also set to take place.
• Monday, July 5^th: Indoor hospitality can resume as well as indoor training. A maximum of 50 attendees will be allowed indoors for events, including weddings.
• Monday, July 19^th: International travel within the EU will get the green light as tourists can move around the EU using the EU Digital COVID Certificate.

The further easing of restrictions is under consideration for August, with increases to indoor numbers and a full reopening of public transport leading the way.
